what's new?

not a whole lot really. i'm being grown and stretched in ways i never would have imagined. i just finished what could have quite possibly been one of the hardest weeks of my life. defintely my hardest since moving to taylor. satan did a fantastic job of making me feel like a complete failure. but, thanks to prayer, a couple very faithful friends, and my Jesus i was able to make it through.

work has been fine. still trying to adjust to the real world and being a big kid now. (i miss my naps THAT'S for sure!)

we started a girl's Bible study about 4 weeks ago which has been absolutely AMAZING! (we just finished now i'm hi-jacking the rocke's computer...)

i hate japanese beetles and mice. there have been a plethera of both in my house and i'm about at my whit's end

speaking of houses jodi and i are moving in together. we're getting a trailer in the trailer park here in taylor. hey don't judge, we're poor and it's a pretty nice one....

i think that's about it. say a prayer that i'll keep my health- i feel like i've been hit by a truck and then stuck in a vice grip.

bluffton weekend

i had a wonderful, blessed weekend out in bluffton with the rink family. i took my camera so i wasn't the only one snapping pictures this weekend. i'm hanging out with mick at rog and di's so i think instead of typing everything that happened i'm going to let pictures tell all the action from the weekend.

on a completely different note work has been WAY crazy. i'm a new grad and have been handling the caseload of two people. yeah, it's nuts.

but life is good. God is good. i'm hanging out @ rog and di's tonight with coop watching the twins/yanks game. tied in the 8th. go twins.

what else is new? not much. i started a mentorship last week that i'm really excited about. i know that God is going to grow me a stretch me in new and different ways. we also started doing a girls' Bible study that i'm really excited about. i feel very blessed to get to grow and change with these girls!! they have been such a blessing to me so far and i know that God is going to do amazing things with our lives both together and separately.

i hope that God is growing each of you in new and different ways. God is going to bless you in your life and service to Him. He is faithful and will never let you down or disappoint you

"i almost died"

that's becoming a common phrase in our family. my sister jodi got in a four-wheeler accident with jeff and carrie's little boy remy. they flipped into a deep ditch and jodi got pinned but remy was able to wiggle out. they were just inches away from a barbed wire fence.

that was a couple of weeks ago



mine was thursday on my first day of work (way to make a good first impression right?)


i was head south to hannibal where 61 and 24 split and where 61 heads toward hannibal the road curves east. between a combination on really bad tires, a lot of rain making a wet road, and going (a little) too fast on the curve i turned a complete 720 degrees and ended up in the median in a whole heck of a lot of mud. someone was nice enough to call the poe-leece and the ambulance came. i was just fine. i wasn't sure about my car. grandpa and papa rocke came and pulled me out. we went back to rocke's and i cooled off and calmed down a bit.

turns out, besides my tires, there is nothing wrong with my car. if i would have started spinning sooner i would have hit three signs. if i would have rolled i probably would have died, i didn't have my seatbelt on. if i would have spun once more i would have slammed into a cement bridge.

i guess God wants me to be here in taylor for a little longer. i know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was only because of the prayers of those closest to me that prayed diligently for my first day of work that i survived. i have full confidence that God has something extraordinary planned for my life here in taylor. i don't know what it is. i don't know what He's going to bring into my life but i DO know that it's going to be for HIS glory and for HIS kingdom.


praise God for His infinite wisdom. praise Him for His enduring faithfulness. praise Him for He is worthy of praise!!

so i'll just keep praying and asking God to keep growing and stretching me in ways that i never EVER dreamt were possible.
